UNIT 11 TASK LIST

TASK 1

A successful career needs a plan. The first stage of the plan is to decide what you want to do. For this task you need to research your preferred job role, find out the skills required and then carry out a SWOT ANALYSIS to help you focus on your strengths and weaknesses.

You must upload your research into job roles and your completed SWOT analysis onto your Wix Website.

Grading criteria: Unit 11 1:1

TASK 4

Create a showreel/portfolio/website and or a Youtube account to showcase your particular specialism.

TASK 2

Research your university, the course you wish to apply for OR your career of choice.

Identify your university or career choices based upon your research.

Undertake the application process for university or for your chosen career. In some cases this may be for a BBC or ITV apprenticeship or an apprenticeship or internship for a media production company.

Upload your research and your applications to your Wix website.

TASK 3

Research, analyse and evaluate the information needed to write an effective MEDIA CV, a university personal statement OR a job application covering letter.

Create your MEDIA CV, personal statement OR covering letter.

Upload your research, CV, personal statement or letter to your Wix website.

Grading criteria: Unit 11 2:1 2:2

TASK 5

Write an evaluation of the work you have done on Unit 11, analysing what you have found out and explaining how this has contributed to your understanding of your career progression.

Grading Criteria: Unit 11 3:2
